Programs

At passMORE DANCE, we want to make sure your children get the most out of his/her dance classes. That's why we offer a placement evaluation with our experienced faculty to help us identify your child's strengths and areas for improvement. This way, we can ensure that your child is placed in the right class for their skill level and interests, so he/she can learn and grow as a dancer. Placement is based on a combination of ability, maturity and age.

Tap Dance Program

Our Tap program starts at the age of 3+.

Our youngest dancers study Tap in various combination classes. We offer a more intensive hour-long class for 3-6 year olds, called Tapping Tots. We have four levels for tap classes for ages 5 - 18. We also offer Musical Theatre Tap and Tap Technique for those who want extra study opportunities. Shoes must be either Capezio or Bloch brand. Oxford style is required starting with Level 1.

Hip Hop Program

Our Hip Hop program starts at the age of 3+.

Preschool dancers can study Hip Hip in combination classes or our hour-long 3-6 year old Hip Hop. There are four levels of Hip Hop classes for ages 5 - 18. Street shoes may not be worn in hip hop classes. We require students to bring clean sneakers and change before entering the studio.

Jazz / Musical Theatre Program

Our Jazz program starts at the age of 3+.

Dancers are introduced to Jazz in a technique based Jazz 1 class. After successful completion of this class, dancers are eligible to enter the Intermediate Jazz Fundamental class, and then the Advanced Fundamental class, both of which also cover components of Musical Theatre. Students should wear leotards and jazz shoes.

Contemporary / Lyrical Program

We offer two levels of modern dance.

We offer two levels of modern or contemporary dance. Dancers may dance barefoot, or with approved dance socks. The lyrical class is an all-age class but dancers must be proficient at ballet as a pre-requisite.

Ballet Program

Our Ballet program starts at the age of 3+.

Our preschool dancers receive introductory ballet instruction in Pre-ballet. After that, dancers will progress through three levels of ballet, based on teacher recommendation. Ballet attire is pink tights with any color leotard. Skirts are allowed, but shorts are not.

Leaps & Turns

Leaps and turns is a technique elective class.

Leaps and turns is a technique workshop style class where students learn and practice various jumps and turns. This is not a recital class.

Adult Classes

Why should the kids have all the fun?

We offer tap, hip hop and Zumba classes for adults.

Preschool Classes

Our youngest dancers (2-4 year olds) start with a class called Baby Bop.

Baby Bop, allows for parent participation, and focuses on creative movement and basic fundamentals. Three to six year olds can choose from a variety of “combination” classes, meaning that more than one genre is taught during the class time. Some are 45 minutes, and some are an hour long. Required shoes depend of the class selected, but may require tap shoes, sneakers, or ballet shoes.
